Cambodia: ITC Board meeting: "Towards strengthened governance and consolidated partnerships".
The Board of Directors (BOD) of the Institut de Technologie du Cambodge (ITC) met on June 25, 2025, under the chairmanship of Her Excellency Madame PHOEURNG Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts and Chairman of the ITC BOD. This strategic meeting was attended by some fifty participants, including Board members, institutional and academic partners and the ITC management team.
Guests of honor included:
- H.E. Mr. OM Romny, Honorary President of the ITC and Secretary of State at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MEJS);
- H.E. Mr. Jacques PELLET, Ambassador of France to Cambodia ;
- H.E. Mr. PO Kimtho, Director General of the ITC ;
- Prof. Nicolas MAINETTI, AUF Regional Director - Asia-Pacific (remote intervention).
The Board's work focused on follow-up to the decisions taken at the 2024 session, analysis of the recommendations of the International Support Consortium held in March 2025, and highlighting the key events of the past year and the first months of 2025. These exchanges enabled us to take stock of our progress and challenges, while strengthening the cohesion of our partners around the ITC's strategic ambitions.
Prof. Nicolas Nicolas MAINETTI, AUF Regional Director - Asia-Pacific, reaffirmed the AUF's commitment to supporting the ITC's transformation efforts, and particularly praised the AUF's approach to the project.ITC's transformation efforts, and particularly welcomed the ITC's approach to openness, linguistic diversity and the promotion of the French language, which remains an asset for the region. The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie is delighted to be working with the ITC, which is home to our national AUF Cambodia office, as well as the Centre d'Employabilité Francophone in Phnom Penh.We particularly welcome the ITC's approach to openness, linguistic diversity and the promotion of French, which remains an asset for professional integration and international cooperation ".
This meeting once again demonstrated the vitality of the ITC's governance and the strength of its network of national and international partners in the service of excellence in engineering, innovation and research.
