Congo/ Social justice: shows to raise awareness of children's rights

Cultural activities rounded off the Day of the African Child, celebrated by the Réseau des intervenants sur le phénomène des enfants en rupture (Reiper) on the theme "The right to protection for street children".

After the round table organized for this purpose, vulnerable children presented dance, song and theater performances at the Ateliers Sahm headquarters to raise awareness of their rights and show what those in street situations experience. " We wanted the children to speak out through these cultural activities, because not everyone expresses themselves in the same way," said Grâce Estia Otilibili Ganzilav, head of the Arcade project at Reiper.

In terms of future action, Reiper has a full agenda. The network is planning support operations for vulnerable children through medical care, investigations and family mediation for children at risk of street situations, among others.
