Organized by France and Costa Rica, the third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3) will be held in Nice from Monday June 9 to Friday June 13, 2025. Ten years after the twenty-first Conference of the Parties (COP21) and the Paris Agreement, UNOC3 aims to bring together and mobilize all stakeholders to conserve and sustainably use the oceans.

In conjunction with UNOC3, on Saturday June 7, 2025, the City of Nice will also host the Summit of Coastal Cities and Regions. This special event will bring together local representatives from around the world to discuss the challenges of adapting to rising sea levels. On this occasion, the Ocean rise and Costal resilience coalition - chaired by Christian ESTROSI, Mayor of Nice - will be officially launched: it will enable coastal local authorities from around the world to join forces to strengthen coastal resilience to the effects of climate change. The Delegation for Local Authorities and Civil Society will officially launch its call for projects.

If you would like to attend the Cities and Coastal Regions Summit, please consult the note attached to this e-mail.
