Benin/New services at ANIP: The e-services.anip.bj platform now launched to improve the quality of identification data in Benin

On Friday February 14, 2025, the Fleuve Jaune room at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a press conference marked by significant announcements from the Agence Nationale d'Identification des Personnes (ANIP). At the head of this initiative was Mr. Aristide ADJINACOU GNAHOUI. On this occasion, the Managing Director of ANIP presented new measures designed to optimize the Agency's services and improve the quality of identification data in Benin.

"This meeting enables us to share our strategy, which includes the launch of innovative applications," said ANIP's General Manager. He highlighted the e-services.anip.bj platform, designed to simplify the identification process for citizens. DG Anip Aristide ADJINACOU GNAHOUI took the opportunity to express his gratitude to Head of State Patrice TALON for his vision and leadership. Above all, he emphasized that ANIP's main objective is to guarantee a fluid and accessible experience in matters of identity and civil status.

During the conference, a number of issues were addressed, including human resources, regulatory procedures, and the quality of information systems. "These issues are important for the safety of citizens and national security," he added.

Indeed, the reforms announced represent a decisive step towards efficient identification, with measures such as the overhaul of the online application platform, the establishment of a department dedicated to citizen satisfaction ....etc.

Mr. Jean AHOLOU, National Coordinator of the WURI project, also underlined the role of the WURI project in modernizing ANIP services, promising additional biometric equipment to improve the efficiency of operations. "The WURI project is the strategic and operational partner for the overall modernization of ANIP. To make the legal and institutional framework more efficient, we will very soon be putting in place an attractive working environment for all ANIP users and for ANIP workers, through the establishment of offices to manufacture in each communal personal identification unit", explained Mr. Jean AHOLOU.

ANIP's General Manager insisted that these initiatives unquestionably position Benin on the road to becoming the African benchmark in the field of personal identification.rence in identification by 2028, generating a positive impact on the lives of citizens, from newborns to schoolchildren.

A call center, accessible via the toll-free number 7054, has also been set up to manage users' concerns. In addition, an online application platform, available at eservices.anip.bjenables ANIP documents to be submitted and issued instantly.

In addition, a double validation mechanism has been put in place to ensure the quality of data transmitted to the RNPP, as well as an innovative system for error-free enrolment and issuance of documents.
