On Thursday January 16, 2025, the Togolese commune of Kpélé 1, located in the Plateaux region, formalized its Communal Development Plan (PDC) in Adéta (the commune's chief town). This document defines the locality's development actions over the next few years, requiring funding estimated at 1.3 billion FCFA.

The Kpélé 1 PDC is divided into four major programs, incorporating thirteen projects and fifty-seven specific actions. These actions cover key areas such as social, economic, local governance and environmental issues.

According to the commune's mayor, Apedoh Komla Batchey, the plan aims to make Kpélé 1 a model of social peace, exemplary governance, dynamic partnerships, a sustainable economy and equitable access to basic social services. Among the projects announced are the construction of educational and health infrastructures, as well as initiatives to preserve the environment.

The validation of this document represents a step forward in the realization of the commune's ambitions, in line with the government's roadmap and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). " The CDP we are validating today reflects our vision for Kpélé 1. It defines the concrete actions we must take to improve the well-being of our populations and actively contribute to the implementation of national policies ," stressed the mayor at the ceremony.
