France

In 2023, Alexandre Salaün took over sole control of Comm'une Opportunité, created in 2019 by three associates. Based in Villeneuve-d'Ascq, this platform connects local authorities with project developers throughout France. At the start of the year, a free offer was launched for communes with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants.

The concept is simple: a representative of a local authority expresses a need in his or her community, while on the other hand a project owner - a shopkeeper, healthcare professional or entrepreneur - submits an idea. This is how a common opportunity can emerge, enabling collaborative work to begin and a project to be launched together. All this takes place on the Comm'une Opportunité platform, a genuine space for exchanges and meetings. " It ' s a free service, but entirely secure," confirms Alexandre Salaün.

A solution to desertification

Already, 700 concrete contacts have been made. The service is aimed at both urban and rural areas, with a subscription valid for one year. "It takes around nine months to establish initial contact between local authorities and entrepreneurs, and then to implement the project. Subscription fees depend on the size of the territory, ranging from €500 to €18,500 for one year, excluding tax.

At the start of this year, Comm'une Opportunité decided to launch a new free service for towns with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants. The aim is to help revitalize rural areas, which often have limited resources, and offer them an opportunity to attract initiatives tailored to their needs.
