Around twenty people attended the general meeting of the Bann-Migné-Auxances twinning committee on Thursday December 12 at La Comberie.

In order to "revitalize" the Franco-German twinning (the first twinning charter dates back to 1988), the municipality and the committee had set themselves the goal of making it more visible to both elected representatives and the residents of Migné-Auxances. A trip outside the commune to bring together Germans and host families was therefore cancelled in favor of a full day in the commune. The question remains as to the visibility of the Franco-German twinning in the commune.

A new mayor of Bann, Michael Klingel, was elected in 2024. He and his new team want the twinning to continue. A new committee has been formed. With the resignation of former president Arnold Germann, Dagmar Dietrich was elected president. She is already familiar with Migné-Auxances and, from the e-mail she sent to Dominique Patrier, seems very enthusiastic and keen for the twinning to continue.

In 2025, a trip to Bann is planned from June 6 to 9. The Alma rando association's plan to spend a week there and hike in the region has been cancelled but postponed. For this trip, it is important to find a certain number of participants: the cost of a touring coach is high and it is important not to increase the price of the trip, which last time, two years ago, amounted to €100 per person.

A young German high-school student was welcomed last August, to take a cooking course at La Petite France. Due to a lack of students, German classes were cancelled this year.
