The Municipal Council of Les Garennes-sur-Loire met on Monday November 25. All resolutions put to the vote were approved unanimously.

Tariffs 2025: while some tariffs remain unchanged, such as Media Library subscriptions, others are subject to re-evaluation in 2025, such as the rental of communal halls and the fees for occupying the public domain for shops, terraces and easels.

The cost of kenneling stray animals has been substantially increased. The amounts seem high, but this problem mobilizes staff too frequently," says the mayor, Jean-Christophe Arluison.

Some residents feel that the cost of cultural programming is too high. Michel Prono, deputy mayor of Juigné-sur-Loire, in charge of cultural affairs, warns that raising them could have a negative impact on show attendance. This item has been postponed until the December Council meeting.

Environment : fermentable waste (N.D.L.R.: kitchen waste) can be deposited in sheltered bio-resource bins at impasse du Rocher, next to espace Chambretault. The 3R'd'Anjou syndicate will be installing two bio-waste collection columns. They will be regularly cleaned and disinfected, informs Marc Bainvel, first deputy and Environment and Waste community member, who adds: Households with no garden or composting facilities will be issued with a badge.

A piezometer has been installed in a communal well on chemin de la Coudre. This is part of a national mission to monitor groundwater levels, carried out by BRGM (Bureau de recherches géologiques et minières) on behalf of the French government. We need to know more about the levels in the Aubance and Layon sectors," points out François Pelletier, councillor and vice-chairman of the Local Water Commission.

Convention territoriale globale (CTG): the partnership signed in 2020 between the Communauté de communes, Syndicat intercommunal de la région de Saint-Georges, communes and CAF will be renewed. Its aim is to strengthen the effectiveness and coordination of actions to meet the needs of families in terms of early childhood, childhood and youth, parenthood, housing and access to rights and services," explains Jocelyne Perron, deputy in charge of Social Affairs and the Centre communal d'action sociale (CCAS).

As a forum for dialogue, the CTG helps to break down the isolation of the CCASs and provides a forum where professionals and elected representatives can get to know each other. It's a place for dialogue," she says.

Projet éducatif de territoire (PEDT): the PEDT, drawn up with the support of the Familles Rurales departmental delegation, will be renewed for 2024-2027. Bringing together government services and educational players, it offers each child a coherent, high-quality program before, during and after school. The PEDT is structured around three axes, broken down into concrete actions: "Be forward-looking" (road safety, anti-harassment measures, evacuation drills, etc.), "Coeducate positively" (shared meal times or the Children's Municipal Council) and "Living together" (intergenerational actions, participation in memorial events or discovery of handisport). As Jean-Michel Corbeau, deputy head of school and children's affairs, sums up: "Each association takes ownership of one or other of the PEDT actions, and contributes its achievements to the common pot.
