France/L'UFC Que Choisir du Nord Isère promises up to 400 euros a year in savings thanks to grouped gas purchases

UFC Que Choisir has launched a group purchase of gas. A group purchase also means a group rate, and therefore savings of over 400 euros on average, according to the president of UFC Que Choisir du Nord-Isère.

If you consume gas, particularly for heating, this offer will be of interest to you. UFC Que Choisir launched a group purchase of gas and was able to benefit from a very advantageous group rate. "For people who heat with gas, we can consider a saving of between 17 and 22%, which is not insignificant.gligeable and can represent savings of up to 475 euros a year", promises Bertrand Malterre, President of UFC-Que Choisir Nord-Isère.

Offer not available to Grenoble residents

The operation is open until December 31, 2024 to all gas consumers in Isère, with the exception of local distribution companies.This means that "our fellow citizens in Grenoble will not have access to this offer, since it is limited to people distributed by GRDF. As Grenoble is connected to a local operator, GEG, they won't be able to benefit from the offer".

The consumers' association had already launched a similar operation last year for electricity "but at the time the subscription was limited, which is not the case for gas this year. The number of electricity subscribers in 2023 was 130,000 in France and around 2,500 in Isère".
