France/Twinning committees in Arradon donate €3,100 to Restos du cœur
On Wednesday April 11, the Arradon-Höchenschwand and Arradon-Upton by Chester twinning committees (Clear Up association) presented a cheque for €3,100 to Restos du cœur, in the presence of Nadine Guillon and René Mourlhon. The sum was raised thanks to a quiz organized by Clear Up on January 27, which attracted 108 participants. Added to this was the Soirée solidarité organized by the German committee on March 9, an event enjoyed by 200 participants, not counting the 166 takeaways ordered.
1.8 million meals distributed in 2003
The representatives of Restos du cœur, which operates in 24 communes in Morbihan, thanked their benefactors and recalled a few figures: "In 2023, we distributed 1.8 million meals to 11,500 beneficiaries, i.e. 5,000 families.
A partnership with the IUT in Vannes
In 2024, to cope with the difficult financial situation, we will be reducing the number of beneficiaries from 11,500 to 8,500. Despite this cut, we are planning to partner with the Vannes IUT to set up a food distribution for their students on Thursday afternoons, starting in September.
