The Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec in partnership with the various MRCs of the Bas-Saint-Laurent territory, the Collectif régional de développement du Bas-Saint-Laurent and Culture Bas-Saint-Laurent have launched the first call for projects under the Entente de partenariat territorial en lien avec la collectivité du Bas-Saint-Laurent 2022-2025.

Artists and organizations residing in the territory of one of the partners have until October 26 to submit their projects to the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec.

Various components are open to artists wishing to submit their projects, including creation, production and outreach or mobility for professional artists and writers. Components for dissemination, promotion and consolidation or support for residency and co-production for professional arts organizations are also detailed at calq.gouv.qc.ca.

An information session for artists will be held on August 30 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Zoom and another will be held on September 1 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Zoom for organizations.

Within the framework of this agreement, Culture Bas-Saint-Laurent can accompany artists, writers who are professional or in the process of becoming professional, as well as cultural workers who need information or support in developing their files.

This program is the result of a three-year agreement concluded in 2022 between the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, the MRCs of Kamouraska, La Matanie, La Matapédia, La Mitis, Les Basques, Rimouski-Neigette, Rivière-du-Loup and Témiscouata, the cities of La Pocatière, Matane, Mont-Joli and Rimouski, in collaboration with the Collectif régional de développement du Bas-Saint-Laurent and Culture Bas-Saint-Laurent.
