Burkina Faso: The European Union offers the Ministry of Culture, office equipment and a vehicle worth 75 million CFA francs

36 microcomputers and peripherals, 12 motorcycles, 12 tablets, a car, as well as office furniture, this is among others the gift of the European Union (EU) to the Ministry in charge of Culture this Thursday, July 1, 2021 in Ouagadougou. A gesture that comes at the right time to revitalize the actions of agents serving the ministry.

As part of the Support Program for Creative Industries and Governance of Culture (PAIC-GC), the European Union donated equipment to the Ministry in charge of Culture.

According to Minister Elise Foniyama Ilboudo, this equipment of about 75 million CFA francs, including computers, motorcycles and a vehicle will fill a gap and improve the quality of service of workers in his department.

The opportunity being the thief, the Minister reiterated his thanks to the European Union for its interest and its sustained attention through technical and financial support of the cultural sector in Burkina Faso.

The Ambassador Head of Delegation of the European Union, Wolfram Vetter, reassured Minister Ilboudo that she will benefit from its support in the realization of the project.support in the realization of her missions while congratulating her for her appointment at the head of the ministry for which she is responsible.

All regional directorates of the Ministry of Culture will benefit without exception from the generous act of donors.

The official ceremony of handing over this equipment was punctuated by performances of artists who colored it while allowing the Minister of Culture to sketch some dance steps.

Minister Ilboudo also recalled the contribution of the European Union to the finalization of the national strategy of culture and tourism, the identification and development of the program PAIC-GC. A program that aims, among other things, to increase job creation in the cultural sectors whose funding amounts to more than six billion CFA francs.
