Mali celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child on October 11, highlighting the importance of science courses for young girls. Under the theme of refoundation through education, the day recalled the rights of girls and highlighted their potential.

Chaired by the Prime Minister, the ceremony highlighted the persistent inequalities in girls' access to scientific studies. The Minister for the Promotion of Women stressed the need for action to reverse this trend.

To achieve this, the Malian government has launched several initiatives: coding and robotics workshops, meetings with women scientists and public speaking competitions. These initiatives aim to inspire young girls and give them the tools they need to succeed in scientific fields.

By investing in girls' education, Mali is building a fairer and more equitable society, where everyone has the same chance to succeed.
