Innovative veterinarians for a sustainable future
The Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie en Europe Centrale et Orientale (AUF-ECO) launches its annual call for multidisciplinary projects, focusing on innovation, knowledge sharing and research aligned with regional socio-economic issues, in order to strengthen the commitment of French-speaking universities to contemporary challenges.
As part of its call for projects 2024, AUF-ECO has supported the project Study on entrepreneurial intentions of veterinary students: innovation, knowledge transfer and contributions to sustainable development in the ECO-ETUDEVET Region, led by the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca, Romania, under the responsibility of prof. dr. Cristina Bianca Pocol.
Challenges and objectives
The project focuses on exploring the entrepreneurial intentions of veterinary students in several countries in the ECO region, and on promoting veterinary entrepreneurship to stimulate regional economic development. Using a rigorous methodology including literature review, data collection and analysis, the project aims to assess student interest in entrepreneurship, identify potential barriers and develop policy recommendations. Expected outputs include scientific publications, research reports and dissemination events, with a communication strategy aimed at maximizing the project's impact and reach.
Expected project results: a diverse range of deliverables and achievements that will contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship in veterinary medicine, as well as to the promotion of sustainable development in this profession.
