Francophonie Month 2025 at the AUF
As part of the Month of La Francophonie, the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) is organizing or participating in around 100 events throughout March 2025: conferences, training courses, festivals, competitions, fields days, writing workshops... Spread across the AUF's 10 regions, these events celebrate the richness and diversity of French-speaking cultures.
AUF - Southern Africa and Indian Ocean
Madagascar:
From March 3 to 4, Thematic Conferences on Substantive Democracy, Environment and Sustainability in the Indian Ocean Islandsn - Innovation for Democracy Foundation;

AUF - Central Africa and the Great Lakes
Burundi:
From March 4 to 20, celebration of International Francophonie Week at AUF member universities (debates, dictation and writing competitions, competitions around the theme of "La Francophonie").e and writing competitions, literary works competitions, conference on improving French in education...).
Central African Republic:
March 12, dictation of the Francophonie and conference-debate on youth employability.
Cameroon:
March 19, dictée de la Francophonie, inter-fablab challenge, round table: "What emerging professions in the French-speaking world?"at the Centre d'Employabilité Francophone (CEF) in Douala.
Congo :
On March 27 and 28, talk-debates with Clubs Leaders Etudiants Francophones (CLÉF), training on Wikipedia content creation in French, conference on the contribution of AI to to young French-speaking Congolese students, round-table discussion on the state of the French language in the Congo, and an eloquence competition between CLÉFs and students from member institutions.
Gabon:
March 21, mini-conferences and Bantouphonie-Francophonie inter-university public speaking competition.
Democratic Republic of Congo:
Training in public speaking, eloquence competition, 7th edition of the "Chasse au trésor francophone de Kinshasa".
Chad:
Training on Generative Artificial Intelligence.
