France/In Lannion, Petits Cadeaux pour gros bobos offers toys to children in the day hospital

The association "Petits Cadeaux pour gros bobos" gave a Playmobil shop window and toys, for an amount of 400 €, to the day hospital in charge of the children, at the Françoise-Dolto center of Lannion (Côtes-d'Armor), Wednesday, January 20, 2021.

The association Petits Cadeaux pour gros bobos (PCPGB), which is mobilizing for hospitalized children...s, donated €400 worth of games and toys to the day hospital in charge of children at the Françoise-Dolto centre in Lannion on Wednesday 20 January 2021.

It was through Fabien Coutard, manager at Géant Casino, that we were able to receive a Playmobil showcase. We asked the centre if there were any other needs in toys, and we agreed," explains the president of the association, Bruno Le Jeune, who recounted his journey and his investment. An enormous amount of work, praised by the representative of the management, Dimitri Martinescu. It is important to stay in touch, added Jean-Yves Déréat, senior health executive of the infant-juvenile centre, who mentioned the possibility of future partnerships.

Projects already in the pipeline

For the association, the projects don't stop there. Starting this weekend, Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January 2021, the members will hold two stands to sell sweets and sweets at each entrance to the store to raise funds, which will be used to finance, in particular, the setting up of a sewing workshop estimated at €1,000, with machines and fabric, in the oncology and haematology department for teenagers at the south hospital in Rennes. The youngest members of the association, children of around ten years old, are working on a project to collect pyjamas and bodysuits for the neonatology department of the Quimper hospital.

In 2020, we were able to collect €14,000," says Bruno Le Jeune, who feared a rather muted Covid effect, since in 2019, they were able to collect €19,000. In total, since its creation in 2017, PCPGB has carried out no less than 45 actions.

The association has been declared of general usefulness, so donors will be able to benefit from a tax receipt.
