The Minister of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Gaston Dossouhoui, heading a delegation from his ministerial department, on Thursday explained to Mono farmers the specific measures taken by the government to facilitate their access to financial services to help them implement their projects through the National Agricultural Development Fund (FNDA).

In a language very accessible to all, the Minister endeavored to explain to the promoters of the six communes of Mono, the opportunities offered by the government through Window 3 of the National Agricultural Development Fund (FNDA).

The FNDA, he said, "is an instrument put in place by the government to facilitate access by agricultural producers with attractive projects to banks and decentralized financial services partners of the government. The national agricultural development fund, he continues, "is not a financial institution and does not provide credit" but rather constitutes "a loan guarantee with financial institutions in order to help producers".

Convinced that the world's richest people have never developed without credit and that the richest people on earth have also imitated it because they have taken credit from financial institutions.Convinced that the richest people in the world have never developed without credit and that the richest people on earth have also imitated them because they have taken credits that they have managed, Minister Gaston Dossouhoui urged Mono's agricultural producers to meet the conditions required to benefit from the FNDA. According to the minister, whoever meets all the conditions should be given credit because, he stressed, "there is no sentiment or friendship". Only those who deserve the credit through an attractive business plan can get it. "It is not a matter of inventing the file, but of designing it yourself and writing it well," he concludes.

Valère Houssou, General Manager of the fund, explained that the FNDA facilitates the access of promoters to loan guarantees, rate subsidies ofThe Fund's General Manager, Valère Houssou, explained that the FNDA facilitates promoters' access to loan guarantees, interest rate subsidies in certain cases and support for the preparation of bankable files through its partnership with non-financial service providers and projects and programs. Always in the dynamics of better impressing the producers with the opportunities offered to them, emphasis was placed on the mechanisms of access to credits, in particular the beneficiaries, the eligible activities, the facilities of access and the criteria to be fulfilled.

On behalf of agricultural producers, Albert Sèdjro thanked the government which, through the FNDA, has just relieved them of the thorny problem of guarantees. While expressing the corporation's gratitude to the government for these measures that will allow small producers to have access to credit, the representative of agricultural producers invited his peers to seize the opportunity offered to them.
