Senegal/Hamady Ounaré: School Supplies for All Schools in the Municipality

The municipality of Hamady Ounaré, in the Kanel Department (northeast), has provided school supplies to all schools in the municipality as part of its efforts to support the start of the school year.

“As usual, we have gathered here tonight to provide school supplies to the schools in our municipality, with the aim of helping students and their parents as the new school year begins,” explained Municipal Secretary Demba Diong.

He was speaking at the distribution ceremony on Tuesday evening, attended by school principals, parent representatives, and the chairs of the school management committees (CGE).

According to Mr. Diong, this initiative is in line with the mayor’s priorities, as he aims to make education a key driver of development and youth training.

He noted that the budget allocated for the purchase of school supplies has been increased this year to better meet the needs of the municipality’s schools.
