France/Potigny. The twinning committee’s English classes resume this Monday

The Potigny-Banwell (Somerset) sister city committee has been in existence for more than twenty-five years. Martine Hébert-Lefèvre, the committee’s president, held a meeting on Thursday to discuss the committee’s upcoming activities, including English classes.

They will take place at the Domogala Hall every Monday, rather than on Thursdays as before. Starting this Monday, two levels will be offered: a review of the basics from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., followed by a conversation session from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Participants can attend either one or both classes, as they prefer. The fee is €2 per session, regardless of level or duration.

For the end-of-year festivities, Halloween will be the theme of the class on Monday, November 2. This will be an opportunity to speak English while sharing traditional dishes prepared during the class. The same format will be used for Christmas during the class on Monday, December 14.

During the meeting, Martine Hébert-Lefèvre paid tribute to Jean-Marie Gasnier, who recently passed away. He had founded the twinning committee together with his wife.
