Ivory Coast / In Ferkessédougou, 366 students receive their certificates for the immersion internship

Three hundred sixty-six students who completed immersion internships at public and private government agencies and companies in Ferkessédougou received their internship completion certificates, on Friday, September 11, 2026, during a ceremony attended by government officials, business leaders, and parents.

Kpan Enock, the career placement counselor at the Ferkessédougou Youth Employment Agency, speaking on behalf of the agency director, explained that these internships were designed to familiarize young people with the professional world and to guide them in their future career choices.

“We believe we have achieved our goals with the interns because not only did all the internships go well overall, but we are also pleased to see that the internship stipends, amounting to 45,000 FCFA, will help parents cover their children’s school expenses,” he emphasized.

Divided into two groups, the 366 interns each completed a one-month internship in July and August at organizations in the public administration and the formal private sector.

Mr. Kpan also noted that this professional immersion allowed students to make the most of their summer break in a professional setting.

Before the graduation ceremony, several officials from the government agencies and companies that hosted the interns praised the initiative of the Ministry of Youth Promotion, Civic Service, and Professional Integration—through the Youth Employment Agency—which enables students to discover the professional world while still in school.

The Secretary General of the Ferkessédougou Prefecture, Tapé Laba, representing the regional prefect, commended the graduation ceremony and urged the graduates to make the most of what they learned during their professional immersion.

For over a year, the Ministry of Youth Promotion, Civic Service, and Professional Integration, through the Youth Employment Agency, has been organizing immersion internships for hundreds of students in several locations across the country during summer break. These internships are primarily intended for young people who are at least 16 years old and have completed at least the 10th grade.
