France/ This training center in Marmande is making a donation to a local nonprofit for a humanitarian project in Cameroon
The Gontaud-de-Nogaret Association (Lot-et-Garonne), thanks to a donation from Groupe Alternance, will support the health clinic in the village of Éyéné, Cameroon.
On Tuesday, June 16, 2026, the Groupe Alternance school in Marmande (Lot-et-Garonne) officially presented a donation of 1,000 € to the Off Road X-Périence association in Gontaud-de-Nogaret.
Founded in 2017 by Mathieu Ollier and his wife Linda, this humanitarian organization has formed a partnership with the village of Éyéné in Cameroon, located a two-hour drive west of Yaoundé.
A community-driven project…
Since 2020, the organization has been improving the infrastructure of this village of 500 residents each year and has successively helped fund the construction of an additional classroom, restrooms, a health clinic, and
“As part of their curriculum, the BTS students in Marmande must develop a community service and solidarity project,” explains Alexis Verger, the school’s director. “In this context, the decision was made to organize a bingo event in Gontaud-de-Nogaret.”
After taking charge of collecting prizes, finding a venue, setting it up, and running the bingo event—which was attended by more than 100 participants— the students managed to raise €1,000 in net proceeds, which was donated in full to the humanitarian organization represented by Kiam Thomas, the organization’s founder, and Linda Ollier.
… with a humanitarian mission
It was Luc Nyassa, a prominent figure from the village of Éyéné and a magistrate in Yaoundé, who, accompanied by his wife Claudine, traveled from Cameroon to meet the association’s members for the first time on French soil, received the symbolic check for 1,000 € and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the students for their dedication and generosity.
This sum will be entirely dedicated to renovating the village clinic, which is in great need of improvements to enhance sanitary conditions. Expressing his infinite gratitude to the BTS students and the association’s volunteers, Luc concluded with a typical African proverb: “To say thank you is to ask for more…”
So please don’t hesitate to support this organization—donations are welcome.
