This agreement is a continuation of the national partnership between the Association des maires de France (AMF) and the Direction générale de la Gendarmerie nationale (DGGN), renewed at the last Mayors' Congress in Paris. At departmental level, it reflects a shared desire to strengthen ties between local councillors and the Gendarmerie, in order to meet the expectations of local communities and citizens as closely as possible.

Through this formalized cooperation, the Gendarmerie Nationale is asserting its determination to amplify its local action and consolidate exchanges with local and inter-communal elected representatives. Drawing on its knowledge of local realities and the concerns of mayors, AML45 also intends to make the most fruitful possible contribution to the relationship between elected representatives and the Gendarmerie.

The agreement defines the terms and conditions of cooperation between AML45 and the Loiret GGD, focusing on a number of key areas. In particular, it reiterates the essential role played by the gendarmerie in assisting local authorities, and the ongoing support provided to elected representatives in the performance of their duties in the service of the population. The partnership also provides for the continuation of joint actions and the organization of information and awareness-raising sessions for local councillors, to promote better mutual understanding and enhanced coordination in the face of everyday security challenges.
