The Belgian CPVS network will be extended on January 1, 2026. UZ Brussel is one of three new centers to open on this date.

Three new sexual violence centers (CPVS) will open their doors on January 1, 2026 in Jette, Tournai and Ottignies. With these three openings, every province in the country will have at least one center of this type.

In Jette, the new center will be located within UZ Brussel. These establishments were selected on the basis of geographical criteria, infrastructure and expertise, a choice validated by Inami's Insurance Committee.

These three new centers will bring the total number of CPVS centers in Belgium to 13. Ten centers are already operational. Accessible around the clock, they offer victims psychological support, medical follow-up and the possibility of lodging a complaint.

It is estimated that by 2025, over 20,000 people will have benefited from these multidisciplinary centers.
