Benin/National Book Fair 2025: Benin's major literary event rolls out in several cities
The Salon National du Livre (SNL) returns in 2025 with a rich and diversified program that will set Benin's cultural life abuzz. Over a period of 04 days in four cities - Cotonou, Ouidah, Parakou and Abomey - the event will feature a series of activities combining conferences and debates, literary cafés, book signings, workshops, screenings, exhibitions and live performances.
A genuine platform for expression and outreach for those involved in the book industry, the SNL has established itself, year after year, as a key event in Beninese culture. This initiative, supported by the Ministry of Culture, reflects the Government of Benin's desire to boost the book industry, support national authors and enhance their international visibility, in synergy with the Grand Prix Littéraire du Bénin.
The 2025 edition, organized by ADAC Bénin, the arts and culture development agency, will take place from November 19 to 22, 2025. Its theme is "Literature and diaspora: weaving memorial links and reinventing a shared future".
As a strategic instrument of cultural outreach, the Salon National du Livre actively contributes to the enrichment of the country's intellectual and artistic heritage.
