Canada/ CISSS de la Montérégie-Est launches 18 new capsules for new parents
The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de la Montérégie-Est has launched the second phase of its New Parents project with the release of 18 new virtual teaching capsules for parents, families and loved ones.
These videos offer clear, concise, popularized and reliable content to support families from childbirth to the child's 5th birthday. They are in addition to the first 10 video vignettes, launched in spring 2022. The www.nouveauxparents.com website has also been completely redesigned to facilitate access to the capsules and information for families.
Topics range from childbirth support to family discipline, induction of labor, mindfulness methods, reading to your baby, vaccinations, sleep, breastfeeding, prematurity and more.breastfeeding, prematurity, birth wishes, pleasures at the table, bonding, screens, emotion management in parenting, arousal and stimulation, and parental partner involvement.
"We are proud to add 18 informative video capsules to the 10 already available for new parents. Practical and accessible at all times, they allow families to choose content according to their needs," says Benoit De Champlain, Assistant Director of Medicine - Mother and Child Centers and Pediatrics.
This project is made possible by a budget allocation from the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) to promote health literacy.
