France/The town of Caudan will provide further support for the Music Association
The municipality of Caudan signed a new partnership agreement with the Association musicale de Caudan on Wednesday, September 24, 2025.
Every year, we sign an agreement to support the association. The structure is loss-making and the accumulated cash flow is dwindling. We looked at other business models, but the associative model made financial sense. We drew inspiration from what was done two years ago in Guidel," says the mayor.
Instead of the €40,000 paid this year, in 2026 the association will receive a subsidy of €37,000, to which will be added a variable portion of €350 per Caudan musician student, child and adult, or €150 for other cultural activities, as well as €680 per event.
"With this effort, we're ensuring the association's long-term future," stresses Mr. Vély.
