Benin unveils the visual identity of its country brand: "Benin, a World of Splendors".

The Republic of Benin today reveals the new visual identity of its country brand, marking a historic step in the enhancement of its image on the international stage. Conceived as a bridge between heritage and modernity, this visual identity reflects the very essence of Benin: a nation proud of its past, open to the future and aware of the unique richness of its culture.

The new logo draws its inspiration from the country's most emblematic symbols:

  • Amazones: a former military regiment within the Danxomè kingdom, they embody courage, resilience and bravery.
  • Bio Guera: hero of the national resistance, he symbolizes honor, patriotism and determination.
  • Guèlèdé: a ritual and festive mask inscribed on UNESCO's intangible heritage list, it celebrates femininity, maternity and artistic ingenuity.
  • Egungun: symbol of the rich Vodun heritage of which Benin is the cradle, it expresses the deep bond between the living and the ancestors.
  • Tata Somba: traditional fortified dwellings in northern Benin, they embody architectural creativity, protection and harmony between man and his environment.

The colors adopted for this visual identity are those of the national flag - green, yellow and red - to which are added yellow ochre, symbolizing the richness of the land, and blue, recalling the sea and the horizon. They embody :

  • The vitality of the landscape and its tourist attractions,
  • The country's cultural and artistic diversity,
  • The strength of innovation that guides Benin into the future.

Mr. Sindé Chékété, Managing Director of Agence Bénin Tourisme, declares:

"With this new visual identity, Benin reaffirms its determination to position itself as a modern and inspiring nation, deeply proud of its roots and resolutely open to the world. It embodies the richness of a country that combines heritage, creativity and ambition. "

From now on, this visual identity will be at the heart of Benin's communications and international influence. It will accompany major events and initiatives to promote the Destination.
