Thailand/Bangkok: Summer University for French-speaking students in Asia-Pacific 2025
Following the success of previous editions of the Summer University for Students, Rangsit University and the CNF - CEF Bangkok, in collaboration with the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie, the French Embassy in Thailand and the Centre Régional Francophone pour l'Asie et le Pacifique, organized the Summer University for French-speaking high school and university students in Asia-Pacific 2025 from September 2 to 8.
The Summer University for French-speaking high-school and university students in Asia-Pacific 2025, held in Bangkok (Thailand), brought together 90 students from seven countries (Cambodia, India, Japan, Laos, Senegal, Thailand and Vietnam).e.s from seven countries (Cambodia, India, Japan, Laos, Senegal, Thailand and Vietnam). The theme of this year's event was " Preserving our heritage together ", and the aim was to bring together the next generation of French-speaking students from various Asian schools and universities for a friendly get-together.
The Summer University aimed to :
- Break isolation and create lasting ties
- Raise awareness of heritage preservation
- Promote a new vision of the Francophonie
- Contribute to the dynamism and solidarity of the French-speaking world.
For six days, students had the opportunity to take part in a wide range of events designed to strengthen their French language skills, while helping to nurture a spirit of solidarity and boost the Francophonie in the Asia-Pacific region.
The program included conferences and workshops led by specialists, offering participants a space for exchange and interactive learning. Students also had the opportunity to discover emblematic heritage sites, interact with inspiring professionals and put their knowledge into practice through the production of a variety of reports (videos, photographs, articles), thus showcasing their experience and talents.
