Twinning Ézy-Brensbach will soon be 50 years old. The Twinning Committee is working on a number of projects to celebrate the event.

"In October 2026, our German friends will be visiting us: even more than usual, this time their stay will take on an exceptional dimension: in Ézy, the party will be total! "promises Michel, from the twinning committee. Who? Who? How? When? When exactly? ... Surprise, surprise! It's still too early to say exactly what's in store, but "let's face it, it's going to be more than a party, it's going to be an event! "

Originally, in 1976, a twinning project with Germany was not a foregone conclusion. "On both sides of the Rhine - most of them aged between 40 and 50 - the founding members remembered! ... Sometimes, shaking hands still had the air of a resigned pact, a duty of peace! A tomorrow of hope was slowly growing stronger than a yesterday of pain. Without forgetting anything of the past, those involved in twinning are resolutely turned towards the future. They are tireless workers for Peace. And here - without neglecting the festive season - there is no shortage of work. We're hiring!

For the second time, during the Whitsun weekend this year, the Fonds Citoyen Franco-Allemand (FCFA) enabled the young tennis players from Ézy-sur-Eure to make the trip. " They are - and this is a great hope - the next generation! The subsidy allocated to vehicles making the trip to Brensbach was a strong incentive to travel; our young Musketeers seized it and, in the process, carried Ézy's colors high," continues Michel. Without revealing anything more about the program, "our tennis players are determined not to give up! The proudly won cup over there! If they want it back, they'll have to come and get it!

As the Comité de Jumelage assures us, October 2026 will be a time for celebration. A real event awaits the locals, but for the moment the organizers are keeping the precious details secret.
