Morocco/Launch of the National Talent Childhood Forum to mark the 60ᵉ anniversary of the Talent Association for Social Education.
The Talent Association for Social Education celebrated its sixtieth anniversary on Monday with the launch of the National Talent Childhood Forum at the El Haouzia national vacation center in El Jadida province, kicking off a series of educational, cultural and recreational activities for children from all over the Kingdom.
Organized in partnership with the French Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - Youth Department - and the Fédération nationale des colonies de vacances, this forum, under the theme: "Talents, six decades : bénévolat, plaidoyer, un souffle renouvelé", is part of a national summer camp program aimed at promoting citizenship, associative commitment and the self-fulfilment of young people.
The event, which runs until August 20, brings together almost 900 beneficiaries from 42 local chapters spread across 10 regions of the Kingdom, in a unifying atmosphere combining educational workshops, cultural encounters and festive moments.
Speaking at the Forum's opening ceremony, the President of the Association des talents pour l'éducation sociale, Abdellah Meskittou, underlined that this celebration marks an important milestone in the history of the educational and social commitment begun in 1965.
He recalled that the Association has worked since its beginnings for the cultural and associative development of the Kingdom, highlighting the importance of summer camps, which are considered a right and not a privilege.
According to Lemfadli, summer camps are one of the key areas in which the Association works, offering Moroccan children a space for learning, discovery and conviviality.
For his part, Lemfadli Bouazza, Provincial Director of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - Youth Department - in El Jadida, said that the El Haouzia summer camp was part of the fourth phase of the national summer camp program, which has welcomed some 1.500 children since its launch this summer.
He went on to say that these children, who come from all regions of Morocco, benefit from an educational, cultural, sporting and recreational program that fosters their personal and social development.
Bouazza also stressed the importance of the partnership between the Ministry, the National Federation of Holiday Camps and associations active in this field, saying that this cooperation was an essential lever for enriching the educational offer and strengthening the supervision of young people.
For his part, Mohamed Gliouine, President of the Fédération nationale des colonies de vacances (National Federation of Holiday Camps), pointed out that the forum would establish a new dialogue: that of childhood, creativity and culture, emphasizing the Forum's role as a platform for exchanges on both cultural and historical themes.
The Forum's program includes educational and entertaining activities, workshops on citizenship, theater, music, the environment and creative expression, as well as exhibitions retracing the association's history since its creation.
Conference-debates and open meetings on the challenges of childhood and associative work will complete the program, which also includes tributes to volunteers and managers who have marked the history of the structure.
The national vacation camp program has already enabled educational camps to be organized in several locations, including Essaouira (second session) and El Jadida (third session).session) and in El Jadida (second and third sessions), and is part of the overall program of festivities that will continue until the end of December 2025.
