Capacity building for university entrepreneurship in Cambodia: successful training of trainers at ITC
As part of the ENTREPRENDRE program in Cambodia, a training of trainers session was held from July 28 to 30, 2025 at the Institut de Technologie du Cambodge (ITC), bringing together around twenty participants from fifteen of the country's higher education establishments and incubators. The dual aim of this intensive session was to :
- Identify the key contents of a comprehensive entrepreneurship course for university students,
- Define the essential elements of a functional entrepreneurial incubation center, capable of creating a favorable environment for national student entrepreneurs (SNEE ) and effectively supporting their start-ups and early-stage business ideas.
The training was led by Professor Frank KOE, an entrepreneurial expert from Pennsylvania State University (USA), who shared his pedagogical and practical expertise on university entrepreneurial ecosystems.
Participants explored innovative approaches to entrepreneurial pedagogy, the basic entrepreneurial skills to be imparted, and international best practices in university incubation. Rich exchanges enabled them to adapt this knowledge to the Cambodian context, taking into account local challenges and opportunities.
This activity is part of the efforts of the AUF and its partners to foster the emergence of a new generation of student entrepreneurs in Cambodia, backed by solid university support structures and training programs adapted to the realities on the ground.
