Morocco/Rabat: Creation of the Moroccan Association of Administrative Law and Administrative Sciences
The Association marocaine de droit administratif et des sciences administratives (Moroccan Association of Administrative Law and Administrative Sciences) was recently set up in Rabat, on the initiative of lecturers and researchers from the Kingdom's various faculties of law, economics and social sciences, as well as executives and experts from several national institutions.
The association's general meeting, held at the end of the week, was marked by the examination and adoption of the draft statutes and the election of its executive board.
Ahmed Ajaoun was elected president of the association, Mohamed El Moudden vice-president, Abdelkarim Haidara general secretary and El Houcine Errami deputy general secretary.
According to its founders, the Association is an NGO whose principles are based on universality, democracy and independence. It works for the general interest in the legal and judicial fields, and also aims to develop academic research in administrative law, and to promote the development of the legal profession.It also aims to develop academic research in administrative law, to open up to its environment and to build up a high-quality scientific base guaranteeing the continuity of knowledge.
The association will also work to develop studies and promote research in the field of administrative law and administrative sciences, as well as encouraging the publication of books and articles on these subjects.It will also encourage the publication of books and articles on these disciplines, with a view to reinforcing the production of books and works relating to jurisprudence, and contributing to the consolidation of administrative achievements in Morocco.
It will also provide a space for researchers in the social sciences to publish their academic work in the areas covered by its field of action.
The association's ambition is to enrich the Moroccan documentary heritage with specialized academic research, while working to develop and strengthen the skills of administrative and elected officials at both national and local level.
It also aims to promote scientific and applied research to support decision-makers in the various fields of administrative action and public management, and to establish a Moroccan ecole marocaine du Droit administratif fondée sur la pluralité des approches, en contribuant à l'évolution de l'enseignement du Droit administratif, notamment par l'adaptation des modèles comparés aux spécificités nationales.
