Committed to a sustainable future: AUF French-speaking universities finalists in Green Gown Awards 2025

Laval and Sherbrooke universities (Canada), as well as Ibn Tofaïl and Mohammed VI Polytechnique universities (Morocco), all members of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), are among the 59 finalists from 27 countries for the 2025 edition of the International Green Gown Awards.

This prestigious distinction, supported by the United Nations Environment Programme, rewards higher education establishments worldwide that are actively committed to the ecological transition. The winners will be announced in October.

Under the auspices of the Environmental Association of Universities and Colleges (EAUC), with the support of the United Nations Environment Programme, and in partnership with several international organizations including the AUF, the International Green Gown Awards are considered to be the "highest distinction awarded to higher education institutions".The International Green Gown Awards are considered to be the "highest distinction awarded to higher education institutions that make sustainable development efforts" to achieve the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals.
