Morocco/Five African projects win prizes in the inter-regional final of the "My Idea, My Business" competition
Five innovative projects led by young African entrepreneurs were rewarded at the grand inter-regional final of the "Mon Idée, Mon Entreprise" competition, organized from May 28 to 30, 2025 in Casablanca by AUF - North Africa and Hassan II University. Placed under the sign of sustainable development and artificial intelligence, this 4ᵉ edition highlighted the commitment of a French-speaking youth focused on innovation and social impact.
From May 28 to 30, 2025, the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) - North Africa, in partnership with Hassan II University in Casablanca, organized the grand inter-regional final of the 4ᵉ edition of the "Mon Idée, Mon Entreprise" (MIME) competition, placed this year under the theme: "Meeting the challenges of sustainable development through the use of artificial intelligence tools".
Designed to promote responsible entrepreneurship among students in the French-speaking world, the competition aims to strengthen entrepreneurial culture and encourage exchanges between innovative project leaders and players in the economic ecosystems.
Pan-African youth at the service of innovation
Bringing together 23 finalists from 23 countries across the continent, this year's competition highlighted the creativity and commitment of Africa's resolutely forward-looking youth. For two days, participants benefited from intensive coaching, punctuated by expert mentoring sessions, to perfect their presentations, refine their entrepreneurial positioning and strengthen the impact of their projects.
Five exceptional projects honoured
At the end of the competition, five projects were rewarded for their innovative character, feasibility, socio-economic impact and the quality of their presentation to the jury:
- 1st Prize (€3,000): Magatte Taye MBODJ - École Polytechnique de Thiès (Senegal)
Agri4Tech: smart agriculture platform combining IoT sensors, artificial intelligence and satellite data to optimize crop management.
- 2ᵉ Prize (€2,500): Christian Dandy Noble MALELA - Université Denis Sassou-N'Guesso (Congo)
Archiverse: immersive solution for architectural design. - 3ᵉ Prize (€2,000): Kassoum Irfan YEDAN - Université Saint Thomas d'Aquin (Burkina Faso)
SafeMama.IA: artificial intelligence application dedicated to maternal and child health and the fight against malnutrition. - Jury's Choice Award (€750): Ilyes Ali JERIDI - École Polytechnique Internationale Privée de Tunis (Tunisia)
RHAI: AI platform dedicated to job interview preparation. - People's Choice Award (€750): I Ilo Mahomby RANDRIANATOANDRO - Université de Fianarantsoa (Madagascar)

A structuring lever for university entrepreneurship in Africa
Through the MIME competition, the AUF is reaffirming its commitment to supporting the emergence of a generation of young entrepreneurs capable of providing concrete answers to the major challenges of sustainable development. This initiative is part of a global approach to developing skills, stimulating innovation and networking the continent's French-speaking talent.
By bringing together universities, centers of expertise and innovation players on an African scale, the AUF is actively contributing to the transformation of university systems into catalysts for sustainable solutions, driven by science, technology and collective intelligence.
