France/The municipality of Heuland runs a road safety campaign in partnership with Heula
Taking advantage of Road Safety Week, the municipality of Heuland seized the opportunity to point out that the subject is always on the agenda in the commune.
A few days ago, the Prefecture of Calvados launched a communication campaign in the commune ofHeuland (Calvados), focusing on road safety and the rules of living together. The prefecture asked Heula to create a communication campaign on this theme", explains Yoan Morlot, mayor of Heuland. These visuals have been put online so that every commune in Calvados can appropriate the panels and messages.
This was not lost on the mayor, as the commune has a long-standing relationship with the Normandy brand. "With Heula, it's a love story that's been going on for several years". It's easy to see why "we continue to appreciate the opportunity to showcase this Norman brand" by "transforming these visuals into panels".
Three visuals were chosen and duplicated for installation and visibility in the four corners of the Heuland commune (Plateau de la Croix d'Heuland, Chemin de l'église, lavoir, Chemin Deraine...).
The aim is to remind people of the rules of living together, and the role that everyone has to play in road safety within the commune, for a responsible, respectful and safe environment.

Flashy signs
For a small commune like Heuland, "we need to find ways of communicating with our residents, who have become younger, with many children, and who are not necessarily the same as they were five or ten years ago".
Road safety messages need to be "in tune with the daily lives of local residents", whether with baby carriages, on bicycles or on foot. These new Heula signs are there to "raise awareness, to say that the road is shared".
Some of the orange panels may seem "flashy", as one resident put it. But, as far as the commune is concerned, "it's all to the good," replies the town's first mayor.
We want to get the message across that we all have our part to play. It's a daily concern for the commune, but also for every resident.
Yoan Morlot, mayor of Heuland
In other words, "the panels are destined to move so that everyone can see them and, above all, never get bored of them".
