The Vineuil-Polch twinning will celebrate its 25th anniversary on Saturday, May 31, 2025. As every year, the meeting takes place on Ascension Day, once in Vineuil, once in Germany.

The Germans from Polch will arrive on Thursday May 29, for a three-day stay. Their Vinol friends have put together a program of meetings and visits for them. They will be welcomed by the Escapade choir, visit the château and take a boat trip on the Loire.

Festivities on Saturday, May 31

Saturday will be devoted to the 25th anniversary festivities. They begin at 11 a.m. in Place Polch, behind the town hall, with François Fromet and Gerd Klasen, the mayors of the two towns.

Jean-Luc Portevin, mayor in 2000 when the twinning was launched, and Flore Thomas, one of the people behind the project, will also be there. The Vineuil-Saint Claude municipal wind band will play at the ceremony, and a tree will be planted for the occasion. Schoolchildren from Marcel-Carné will read a few texts. In the evening, a country-style meal will be served at the stadium before a fireworks display at dusk.
