France/Cybersecurity courses: ANSSI has supported 945 public entities in 4 years
100 million euros have been devoted to helping public entities improve their cybersecurity. Over a 4-year period, ANSSI provided support to 945 of the most vulnerable entities.
These include 707 local authorities, 134 healthcare establishments, 87 other public establishments and 17 research and higher education centers. On average, beneficiaries went from a D+ to a B cyber maturity score, emphasizes ANSSI.
The agency points out that 197 service providers throughout France were involved. 40 million euros were dedicated to the acquisition of French (33 million) and European cybersecurity products.
"Over and above the benefits for the entities supported, the cybersecurity programs leave a legacy that can be exploited over the long term, particularly with a view to the future of the French economy.e, particularly in view of the implementation of the NIS 2 directive, with the provision of tools and methods tailored to the needs of each beneficiary".
