Morocco/M. Bensaid: 7,000 agreements signed with youth associations and clubs

The Minister of Youth, Culture and Communication, Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, told the House of Representatives on Monday that 7,000 partnership agreements had been signed with associations and clubs working in the field of youth.

In response to an oral question from the Istiqlalien Unity and Egalitarianism Group on the Ministry's programs to promote youth centers, Mr. Bensaïd explained that these agreements are part of the national program to promote youth institutions. Bensaïd pointed out that these agreements are part of the national program for youth institutions for the 2024-2025 season, launched for the benefit of associations working in this field and intervening in youth centers or within their own structures.

The Minister emphasized that his department was working to create a new dynamic within youth centers by launching programs and activities in partnership with institutional players and stakeholders concerned with youth and childhood issues.

He also emphasized the diversification of the content on offer, whether in terms of pedagogical support, cultural and artistic activities, or the development of skills and aptitudes.

As part of this national program, Mr. Bensaïd reported that 150 youth centers had been equipped with teaching aids, including electronic games.

He also mentioned the launch of the ASAS project (Attestation spécifique à l'animation socioculturelle), through the creation of more than 100 local training centers in youth centers, designed to strengthen the skills of associative managers in associative management, while highlighting the development of the digital platform "animateur.ma" digital platform, as well as the "jam3iya.ma" platform dedicated to the digital management of youth centers.

At the same time, the Minister emphasized the importance attached by his department to the promotion of voluntary work, through the creation of theatrical clubs, the conclusion of partnerships with the private sector and the creation of a network of associations.The Minister also emphasized the importance attached by his department to promoting volunteer work, through the creation of drama clubs, partnerships with national and international groups and organizations, and the organization of a national program of festivals aimed at young people in various fields, including traditional games, theater, music, reading and folklore.

Mr. Bensaïd also pointed out that his department rehabilitates several youth centers each year, as part of a program launched in 2021 and scheduled for completion this year.
