The month of March was marked by a series of events celebrating the French-speaking world in Georgia. Organized by the CEF Tbilisi in collaboration with the AUF National Office in Georgia, partner universities and various actors of the French-speaking world in Central and Eastern Europe, these cultural and educational activities aimed to promote the French language and French-speaking cultures, while encouraging international exchanges between students, researchers and language enthusiasts.

The festivities kicked off with a poetry competition in French, organized by the Centre d'employabilité francophone (CEF) Tbilissi in partnership with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and the Black Sea University.employabilité francophone (CEF) Tbilissi in partnership with the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs and the Black Sea University. Throughout the month, Fridays were punctuated by screenings of French, Romanian and Canadian films as part of the L'AUF fait son cinéma initiative. Organized in partnership with the French, Romanian and Canadian embassies, these screenings, attended by diplomatic representatives and students, offered an immersion in Francophone film culture, while encouraging critical reflection on the works presented.

On March 20, the Journée de la Francophonie was marked by the presentation of certificates to alumni of CEF training courses, a ceremony rich in exchanges and sharing between former participants with varied backgrounds.

On March 28 and 29, student colloquia took place at Akaki Tsereteli State University in Kutaissi and Chota Roustaveli State University in Batumi. The themes Francophone language and culture in Kutaissi and Ma francophonie in Batoumi brought together some 40 students to share their research and passion for the French language. In addition, French-speaking pupils from Batoumi and Kutaissi schools expressed their love of French through artistic performances and creative works. These convivial encounters concluded with competitions, prize-giving ceremonies and the distribution of various gifts.

These events were a wonderful opportunity for participants to deepen their knowledge of the French-speaking world, hone their language skills and engage in inspiring intercultural dialogue.
