France/Two associations unite for the cause of local animals
On Thursday March 13, Patricia Frischia, president of the animal protection association Adra, approached the Odyssée socio-cultural center for help in organizing a guinguette-style afternoon.
Volunteers from the two associations met to define what would best please the people of Redessan and enable Adra to meet the many expenses incurred by the local animals.
Indeed, there's no connection, one might think, between a festive afternoon and the street cats to be cared for, but any event that can liven up the commune and make a small profit is worth setting up. At the Salle des Fêtes, decorated for the occasion, Patricia Frischia was touched by the presence of the presidents and members of the associations, who were also present.Patricia Frischia was delighted by the presence of the presidents and members of the associations, Les Amis réunis and AGSL, as well as the presence of three entertainers with residents of the Redessan and Cabrières Ehpad.
Adra is also looking for volunteers
The afternoon was a resounding success, with a large audience in attendance. Musical entertainment was provided on a voluntary basis by Michelle and Michel from Marguerittes, Luc, an Odyssée volunteer, and by a participant who sang a song, as did the Odyssée president and the Adra team.
The many people present left with smiles on their faces, happy to have enjoyed this convivial time, with a good snack prepared by the volunteers. The members of Adra and L'Odyssée are delighted with this partnership, which will undoubtedly lead to other actions, and which has generated a profit to help pay for the sterilization and care of the cats. This helps limit the proliferation of free-roaming animals, and consequently of disease. Adra is also looking for volunteers to help with feeding the animals.
