France/ Ecological transition and sustainable development: this local association has new plans for 2025
Committed to the environment, the Poppies of Vexin Normand took stock at their general meeting on Friday January 31, 2025, in Gasny (Eure).
Les Coquelicots du Vexin normand held its annual general meeting on Friday January 31, 2025 at Mesnil-Milon in Gasny (Eure).
Headed by Vincent Moriaux and with some twenty members, the association aims to promote ecological transition and sustainable development.
Activities over the past year have included a plant swap, a repair café during the Foire à Tout, a welding workshop, participation in the Fête des Possibles and an open-source software workshop.
Events for 2025
On the agenda for 2025: an eco-run in collaboration with Gasny-Running to clear the paths of garbage, participation in the May 25 Foire à Tout and the Fête de la pomme.
Following the closure of the Vers une transition association in Vernon, which worked in schools in particular, a dozen or so volunteers could reinforce the Poppies team on an ad hoc basis.
Although no exchanges were recorded this year using the local exchange system's virtual currency, the kokliko, mutual aid between members continues (equipment loans, breakdown assistance).
Now in its 7th year, the association remains open to all. The annual membership fee is €15 per family.
