Congo/ Health: three months of free care for the elderly
The Centre médicosocial le Jaune, in partnership with Assistance au développement social (ADS) and Caricav, has launched an awareness-raising campaign for retirees and senior citizens, followed by free screening for hypertension, diabetes, malaria, albumin and glycemia, lasting three months until March 31.
Owned by the Union des travailleurs nationale de la santé et des affaires sociales (Unatrasas), the Centre médicosocial le Jaune was built in 2004, thanks to a partnership with the telecommunications company MTN internationale, and inaugurated in 2014 by First Lady Antoinette Sassou N'Guesso.re dame Antoinette Sassou N'Guesso, is dedicated to retirees from all over the Republic (Caisse des retraités et des fonctionnaires and Caisse nationale de la sécurité sociale), their dependents and senior citizens (working or non-working), for medical treatment. The President of ADS took the opportunity to explain to the audience that the work of his non-profit, humanitarian non-governmental organization is to lead people to a better standard of living, through the promotion of health. a better standard of living, through the provision of social works, and to work for the well-being of deprived populations in the fields of health, education, and the fight against famine and poverty.ADS will also be distributing food to the elderly and the destitute, as well as clothing to the needy and orphaned children.
