Benin - Bohicon/ Partnership agreement for the construction of a modern arts museum: Rufino d'ALMEIDA wins FCFA 177.1 million from AIMF

Frédéric Vallier, Delegate of the Association Internationale des Maires Francophones (AIMF), representing the institution, signed a partnership agreement with the city of Bohicon on December 08, 2024. 177.1 million FCFA has been released for the construction of a modern arts museum in Bohicon, to be managed by the Ecole du Patrimoine Africain (EPA).

This funding is based on strategic foundations, notably the integration of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network. This strategy is reinforced in the municipality's new CDP, whose vision is set out in the cultural policy document. After the speeches, testimonials and thanks, came the signing of the agreement, the exchange of initials, the presentation of gifts by the Mayor to the host and the family photo. And so the ceremony came to a close, to the great joy of the town's dignitaries, who had turned out in large numbers to witness this historic moment for Bohicon.
