In Kara, the region's statistical yearbook for the 2022-2023 period was officially validated on Monday December 9, 2024, at a workshop organized by the regional directorate of the Institut National de la Statistique et des Études Économiques et Démographiques (INSEED).

"This is an essential document for decision-making, particularly in the context of decentralization in Togo", said Nouroudine Abdoulaye, Regional Director of INSEED-Kara, quoted by ATOP. According to him, this directory will make it possible to better monitor the impact of projects, policies and programs on the region's population.

The aim of the meeting was to finalize the data collected, integrating the necessary observations and corrections before final adoption of the document. Participants, including representatives of local government departments, NGOs and experts from the Ministry of Planning, carefully analyzed the statistical tables to ensure their conformity with local realities.

As a reminder, a statistical yearbook is a reference document that organizes and summarizes a wide range of statistical data covering the economic, social, environmental and demographic aspects of a territory.

Previously, the last statistical yearbook for the Kara region, covering the period 2020-2021, had been validated in February 2023.
