Benin/Lute contre les violences basées sur le Genre au Bénin : Le Gouvernement à travers l'INF appuie sur l'accélérateur
Since 2016, women's rights have been better protected thanks to flagship measures and provisions adopted and implemented by the Government through the National Women's Institute. Gender-based violence is a real scourge. Eradicating it once and for all will require the mobilization and commitment of all. With this in mind, the "16 days of activism against gender-based violence" campaign was officially launched on Monday November 25, 2024 at the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou by INF President Huguette BOKPÈ GNACADJA.
Placed under the theme: "Riposter et se reconstruire après les violences", this campaign, which covers the period from November 25 to December 10, 2024, is a unique opportunity to renew our collective commitment to eradicating this evil that plagues society. opportunity to renew our collective commitment to eradicating this evil that plagues society," notes INF Executive Secretary Flore DJINOU.
For all the technical and financial partners, there will be no lack of support to help us achieve our objectives, reassured Madame Sandrine PLATTEAU, Belgian Ambassador to Benin, representing the PTFs.
"These 16 days of activism against gender-based violence are an opportunity to write a new chapter together, whose title could be "breaking the silence and rebuilding dignity", and whose closing words could also be : fight back today, tomorrow, all the time and rebuild now and without ceasing", launched and pleaded Mrs Huguette BOKPÈ GNACADJA, President of the INF.
After hailing the Government's vision in taking numerous measures to protect women, the INF President urged everyone to mobilize to eradicate the scourge of gender-based violence in the Republic of Benin.
