Gagnoa executive Aimée Zebeyoux, advisor to the Constitutional Council of côte d'ivoire, invited teachers to get involved in the fight against pregnancy in schools, during a ceremony to donate school supplies to pupils in three public elementary school in the town, Monday November 25, 2024.

"We're counting on you for better supervision, especially at a time when there are so many pregnancies in schools", insisted Ms. Zebeyoux, who had just handed out more than 1,000 school kits to pupils from CP1 to CM2 at the 'Aimée Zebeyoux' primary school in the residential district, the Babré school group 1 and 3, and the Babré school group 2 A and B.pupils from CP1 to CM2 at the 'Aimée Zebeyoux' elementary school in the residential district, the Babré 1 and 3 school groups, and the Babré 2 A and B school groups.

According to her, every teacher must be involved in raising awareness, so that there are fewer pregnancies in schools. Of course, steps have been taken to ensure that these girls can return to school after their pregnancies, but she says that action is needed to reduce the number of pregnant girls in schools. "It's an obstacle to their education", said the member of the Constitutional Council.

Aimée Zebeyoux encouraged parents to take care of their children's education and follow-up, so that they can do well at school. "If education is good at home, teachers' work will be easier and we'll have good pupils too," the donor assured.
