During the annual meeting of volunteers organized by France Volontaires, the North Africa Regional Office of the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) was pleased to welcome young volunteers for an afternoon of exchange and sharing at the Campus Numérique Francophone (CNF) in Rabat. This event, which took place from November 15 to 17, 2024, was marked by the dynamic leadership of members of the AUF's Clubs Leaders Étudiants Francophones (CLÉF) network in Morocco.

Saturday morning began with a round-table discussion on the role of volunteering in the French-speaking world. Mr. Giovanni AGRESTI, Regional Director of AUF - North Africa, took the opportunity in a video to highlight the key role of volunteering and collaboration in building a dynamic and forward-looking Francophonie.

In the afternoon, at the CNF in Rabat, France Volontaires volunteers from all over Morocco discovered the world of the CLÉF network, made up of committed students from various universities. The activities, carefully prepared and led by these young academics, helped to break the ice, encourage exchanges and present the projects and initiatives that the CLÉF network is setting up in North Africa. The program for this convivial gathering included

  • Interactive games to encourage exchanges between participants.
  • A presentation of the CLÉF network and association, highlighting their collaborative projects and their positive impact on young people.
  • Discussions about volunteering and its role in a forward-looking French-speaking world.

Team spirit, one of CLÉF's strengths

The members of the CLÉF network brilliantly demonstrated their ability to work together, despite the diversity of their institutions and backgrounds. Thanks to their collective commitment, they have demonstrated a real sense of belonging, making the CLÉF network a model of unity and collaboration.

Partnership for committed Francophone youth

Finally, this meeting at the CNF also illustrated the importance of partnerships between the AUF and organizations such as France Volontaires to promote the commitment of young Francophones. Through events of this kind, the AUF continues to support an inclusive and supportive French-speaking university community, highlighting the talents and potential of new generations.
