France/Twinning Plouescat-Braunton will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025
The general meeting of the Plouescat-Braunton English Twinning Committee, chaired by Patricia Choquer, took place on Saturday November 16, 2024, in the presence of the mayor, Éric Le Bour, and Catherine Gourmelon, deputy mayor for culture. The highlights of the year were recalled. The results of the garage sale held in April and the craft and local produce market in August were "honourable".
From May 18 to 22, 2024, 26 friends from Braunton stayed in Plouescat. These few days, rich in activities and sunny weather, left many fond memories. In 2025, the committees on both sides will be enriched by new arrivals - three couples in Plouescat, and as many in Braunton - testifying to the dynamism of the twinning.
From May 28 to June 2, it will be Plouescat's turn to visit Braunton, and we'll be preparing a surprise for our English friends... In 2025, the twinning will celebrate its fiftieth anniversary.
The two fund-raising events will continue in 2025: the garage sale on Monday April 21 (Easter Monday) at the salle omnisports du center, and the craft and local produce market on Sunday August 17, place des Halles.
