Canada/ Nearly $1 million for the environment and sustainable development in the Mauricie region

Jean Boulet, Minister of Labour, Minister responsible for the Mauricie region and MNA for Trois-Rivières, was on hand this morning to announce that the Quebec government and a number of players in the Mauricie region are contributing $963,000 to a sectoral agreement on the environment and sustainable development.

One of the aims of the agreement is to create a fund to support projects in these areas. In collaboration with local stakeholders, a strategic plan will also be drawn up to determine funding needs and priorities. The actions carried out by the numerous organizations and their spin-offs will be highlighted. Finally, regional activities will be organized.
