Morocco/Digital health: launch in Rabat of the first "Al-Quds 2024 Hackathon" dedicated to startups
Rabat - The first edition of the "Al-Quds 2024 Hackathon" dedicated to startups working in the field of digital health, was launched on Friday in Rabat, as part of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif 2024-2027 Agency's digital strategy.
This event, initiated by the Agency in partnership with a number of Moroccan institutional players, aims to bring together the largest possible number of innovative ideas capable of helping to develop and improve the performance of the healthcare system in Al-Quds, particularly in emergency situations.es that can contribute to developing and improving the performance of the healthcare system in Al-Quds, particularly in emergency situations.
The launch ceremony of this hackathon was marked by the signing of a partnership agreement between the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Acharif Agency and the "JInnovate Al-Quds" company.to set out the terms of the partnership for the Agency's support in organizing the hackathon, dedicated to supporting startups in the field of digital health.
In a speech to mark the occasion, Mohamed Salem Cherkaoui, the Agency's Director in charge of management, said that the hackathon was part of the Agency's renewed and ongoing social action dynamic.of the Agency's concrete social action in Al-Quds, under the direct supervision of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee. Al-Quds Committee, noting that "this initiative testifies to the Agency's respect for its commitments to our Palestinian brothers and sisters, to help them acquire the means to live with pride and dignity on their land. to live with pride and dignity on their land, armed with the hope of a better future for generations to come".

In the same vein, he noted that the value of the prizes for this first edition amounts to 60.000, which will encourage young people from Morocco, Palestine and other countries to work together to develop innovative digital solutions and practical ideas that can have a tangible and lasting impact on the healthcare sector.
Palestine's ambassador to Morocco, Jamal Choubaki, stressed that "this hackathon is an important opportunity for young, innovative Palestinians who are coming up with ambitious project ideas, in spite of the current economic crisis.es of ambitious projects, despite the difficult circumstances in which they live", pointing out that these projects deserve to be encouraged and supported so that they can materialize on the ground.
He took the opportunity to express his thanks and gratitude to His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Chairman of the Al-Quds Committee, for His support for the Palestinian cause, praising the Sovereign's humanitarian initiatives towards the Palestinian population.
For his part, Jaâfar Mahfoud, Director of Technology at JInnovate Al-Qods, said in a statement to the press that the partnership agreement signed with the Bayt Mal Al-Qods Acharif Agency essentially aims to launch the "Al-Quds Hackathon" for startups working in the field of digital health, to ensure the incubation of young people's projects and ideas and develop them via the Agency and the relevant Moroccan governmental parties.
The launch ceremony for the first edition of the "Al-Quds 2024 Hackathon" was attended by representatives of several ministries, diplomatic chancelleries and institutions.
